The Rupshu is a north indian region located in the south-east of Ladakh. We traveled through the outskirts of the imposing salt lakes of Tso Kar and Tso Moriri, nestled in the middle of vast high-altitude plateaux over 4000m. Close to the chinese border, this area is a wildlife habitat to a unique fauna : kiangs, bharals, argalis, wolves, foxes, marmots, and a lot of bird species. It's also the territory of the Changpas, nomad shepherds living in the high Chang Thang Plateau with yaks, goats and sheep.
