Located a few kilometers before the lake of Tso Moriri, Tso Kar Lake represents a true peaceful habitat for a very fragile and menaced fauna. Smaller, and not as deep as Tso Moriri, Tso Kar is nonetheless wilder and less visited. Its water is also way more salty, which offers a variety of amazing scenery, between salt deserts among mosses and herbs to salted marshes sheltering many different bird species.
