The "Pic du Midi d'Ossau" and the "Vignemale" are two major summits of the French Pyrenees. Just like landscape diversity that characterizes the Pyrenean range, these two summits offer a very different vision of the mountains to hikers. The Ossau peak forms a tooth and rises like an isolated monolith from the other summits. Meanwhile, the massive Vignemale rises its glacier in the highest part of the Pyrenees, facing the "Gavarnie circus", the "Taillon peak" and its famous "Brèche de Roland".
