Located at the extreme northern part of the country, not far from the Tibetan border, the Langtang region is a little populated area, nestled in the middle of the snow-covered peaks of the Nepalese Himalayas. It is only after a ten hours bus ride on jolty roads that we reach these isolated mountains. The path which traverses this steep sided valley leads to the glaciers of Langtang Lirung, its highest peaks. From Trisuli Bazaar to Syabrubesi, while passing by Kyanjin Gompa, we cross Tamang villages, making it possible to discover a preserved Tibetan culture. This area, subjected to climate changes, presents various landscapes, in particular in this month of March when snow still covers the valley's villages.
