The Chinese of the middle class profit today of three weeks of paid holidays, the "Golden Weeks". Imposed on a fixed date, it is thus all of China which leaves on a single holiday movement. Tens of million Chinese invade the stations for journeys which last sometimes several days. Leaving the huge cities of the East, many now feel the need to revisit their history, privileging the historical cities and the thousand-year-old pilgrimage.
